Witness reports several calls were made to the Currituck County Policy Department.

In the early evening, the witness, their father, and brother were departing for the movies from their home in the River’s Edge neighborhood when the witness noticed three bright lights in a triangular arrangement. The driver stopped, and the three stepped into the front yard. Directly overhead they observed a massive triangular craft with a bright white light at each corner. 

The base of the triangle extended over their house while the apex was over a neighboring property on Mariners Way. The surface was described as metallic/graphite-black, moving very slowly north; interviewer notes record a low, dull, pulsing hum and a slight “mirage” effect along the sharp edges. Estimated altitude was 300–500 ft, and size fields list ~200 ft (notes also record 100 ft wide by 200 ft long). 

After several moments, the object continued beyond the treetops toward the next neighborhood (Brumsey), where two other families reportedly saw it. No rapid maneuvers were observed; speed appeared steady and slow. No electromagnetic effects were noted.

Civilian Ground

A large triangular craft with a bright white light at each corner passed slowly over a residential area in Moyock, North Carolina, at dusk and continued north. The object’s surfaces were described as metallic/graphite-black, with a low, pulsing hum noted in interviewer records. Estimated altitude was 300–500 ft, size on the order of ~200 ft (notes also record 100 ft wide by 200 ft long). The primary witness reported additional families in the adjacent neighborhood observing the same object. Duration recorded as ~3 minutes.
