This report highlights airspace and national security concerns in proximity to Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Base and Fort Carson, Colorado.

At approximately 11:40 a.m. on 2022-02-15, five intelligence officers were walking uphill toward Group Headquarters at Fort Carson when Cheyenne Mountain came into view, at an estimated distance of ~6 miles. Hovering approximately 300 meters above the saddle near the antenna array, they observed an object described as an irregular, horizontally oriented oval (“potato-like”), approximately 300 feet across. The object appeared perfectly still and silent, with a translucent-white appearance that showed a slight shimmer and reflection in sunlight. 

Witnesses noted that its surface looked composed of irregular angular panels whose joints articulated in a slightly irregular, pulsing manner across the object. All five observers acknowledged the object; the reporting witness described their reaction as shock. After an estimated 120 seconds of observation, the object was no longer visible. No one observed a specific departure (e.g., dropping behind terrain, dissolving, or rapid movement). The group scanned 360° and reported no additional objects and no clouds. Weather was described as completely clear, sunny blue skies with ambient temperature ~50°F.

Military Ground

Five intelligence officers with 10th Special Forces Group observed a large, irregular oval object above Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado, at midday. The object appeared stationary in space for ~30–120 seconds and then was no longer visible; no departure was seen. It was described as translucent-white with a slight shimmer, ~300 ft across, at an estimated range of ~6 miles and ~300 m above the mountain saddle near the antenna array. No sound, emissions, or environmental effects were noted.
